In the Hot Seat: Tiara

What have you been up to?

I have been at Hotglue now for about two months and work with Georgie on a bunch of great brands. We are in the middle of planning to shoot local content with IT Cosmetics, which is really exciting since it’s never been done before here.

Did you face any challenges during this project?

Having done programmatic and paid media for the last two years, it’s been an interesting mindset shift from Excel spreadsheets and data to the creative social media, but have been loving every moment of it so far.

What has been your favourite project while at HG?

My first day working at Hotglue, we had the Devondale and Liddells photoshoot which was eye-opening and exciting to see how the shoot came together, working closely with the production team to create great content for the client.

What is the biggest mistake that businesses make when they post on social media?

Too constructed, not a true representation of their business, not thinking who their audiences are.

What change do you want to see in the media industry?

More collaboration and stronger communication between creatives and media. It just seems there is a bit of a disconnect between the two industries, considering that we work so closely together and each play a major role in the success of the client.

What is your favourite thing to do on the weekend?

Love a cheeky Friday drink with the team to start things off, but generally like to keep things chill, catch up with friends or go to any events happening around the city and try to get in nature when I can.

NOW FOR SOME HOT FIRE QUESTIONS…

What would you rather: answer the phone each time it rings for a week or load and empty the dishwasher for a week?

I don’t have a phone at my desk, so I’ll do the dishwasher. Or should I answer the phone because I don’t have a phone? I use the dishwasher, so I’ll go with the dishwasher.

Who in the office is most likely to eat snacks set aside for Friday earlier in the week?

Lewis. Everyone says Lewis.

Who in the office is most likely to use the office address as their personal parcel delivery address?

Steve! I’ve seen him get a couple of things. Him or Bea. I’ve seen Bea get a few things but it might be for work.
