What's your role here at HG?

Social Media Manager.

What brands are you working on and what do you like about them?

I manage a few brands: NGK Spark Plugs, HSV, Walkinshaw Performance, IVECO Trucks, and most recently Chargeball! All the accounts bring different challenges and varying strategies that are a thrill to juggle and execute to the best of our abilities.

What have you been working on lately?

I have recently taken over the Account Management of NGK Spark Plugs, so I have been working with our designer Rob to create some high-quality memes.

You joined the team and then we went into a couple of lockdowns. How did you find starting a new job and learning in this way?

I was lucky in the way I had meet my J Unit team a few times before starting full time, as I was freelancing for Hotglue for some time. Having that initial in-person rapport building I believe helped me a lot when I started full-time during a lockdown. I feel for the constant stream of new starters that have come on during lockdowns having never met the team before.

How did you find getting to know some of the wider team virtually?

It’s tough — if you don't work with somebody directly or indirectly, you simply don't interact with them. We also have so many new starters constantly joining as the business continues to grow. Often our monthly all-staff meetings involve a lot of first introductions. It definitely doesn't compare to being in the office and rubbing shoulders with colleagues.

What is your go-to snack at home?

Barbecue flavoured Sakatas.

Have you…

… done a virtual meeting with trackies/pjs on? Trackpants? 95% of days.

… shopped more online because you’re home to receive it? Definitely, I get 60% of all my purchases through Amazon Prime now.

… had to balance working with a partner/housemate? Yes I have! And I have found it pretty easy if I am being honest.

… enjoyed longer sleep-ins? Not really, but I have enjoyed better spending my time that I would otherwise be commuting.
